1.Don’t shower in super hot water:
We know it’s tempting, but showering with hot water tends to dry out your skin even more. Hot water removes natural oils from the skin, and the more oils removed, the drier the skin becomes.
2. Moisturize More:
Your skin not only needs more moisture, but moisture right after you wash. Find an moisturizer that’s oil-based, rather than water-based, as the oil will create a protective layer on the skin that retains more moisture than a cream or lotion.

Try to cover the most of the body with the clothes. Do not expose the skin to the cold air. Get used to wearing gloves and scarves to protect skin from cold winds, rain, and snow. Also, don’t forget the sunscreen. Winter sun can be just as damaging as summer sun.

We tend to drink less water in the winter because we turn to hot drinks like cocoa and tea, but don’t forget that your skin needs hydration from the inside, out. A little warm water with lemon can be very refreshing and hydrating at the same time.
5.Don’t overheat your house:
Central heating and air conditioning, even climate controlled environments can play a part in drying your skin. Central heating often compounds the problem and can actually cause humidity levels to drop inside the living space. Air conditioning removes water from indoor air and has a drying effect on skin.

Home made hydrating masks can provide needed moisture in the winter months. Use natural moisturizing ingredients like honey, avocado, yogurt, olive and jojoba oils, almond oil, bananas, and aloe. Mix what you like together to create a cream or paste, and leave on skin for 10-30 minutes for lasting hydration.
7. Stick to healthy fats:
At the grocery store, fill up a cart with foods full of healthy mono unsaturated fats and omega-3 fatty acids, such as fish, nuts, olive oil, flax, sardines, and avocados.
