How to Enable WhatsApp two-step verification through beta update.

Whatsapp two-step verification allows you to make your files and data in your WhatsApp account secure. After activating WhatsApp two-step verification no one can use your WhatsApp account without your permission. WhatsApp has now introduced Two-Step Verification  password feature for its Beta version for Android. On Android, beta app users running version 2.16.341 or above will be able to enable the two-step verification. Windows 10 Mobile beta user, running version 2.16.280 of WhatsApp can also enable the security feature. There’s no information when the update will exit its beta status, but once it does so, it will be available as an app store download. Meanwhile, members of the WhatsApp beta program are able to get the update from the Google Play Store on Android right now.

How to set up WhatsApp two-step verification passcode ::

To enable WhatsApp two-step verification (2SV), you need to sign for the WhatsApp’s Beta version, and follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Go to WhatsApp Settings —> Account —> Two-step verification —> Enable.

Step 2: On the next screen, enter six digit passcode and Reconfirm it.

Step 3: On next screen, enter your email ID (optional) to enable passcode recovery via email.

Once that’s done, two-step verification will be active on your phone number. No one will be able to activate WhatsApp with the same phone number unless they have the passcode or access to the email account to reset it.

How To Disable Whatsapp Two Step verification ::

Step 1: Open WhatsApp, Click on Settings —> Account —> Two-step verification.

Step 2: Now you will get 3 options on the screen.

  1. Disable
  2. Change Passcode
  3. Change email address

Step 3: Click on Disable.

You may have a doubt in mind that ” what if I forgot the passcode after setting it months ago? “. For helping you remember your WhatsApp two-step verification passcode, WhatsApp will periodically ask you to enter your passcode, and there is no option to opt out of this without disabling the 2SV feature.

Another welcome improvement to WhatsApp, which was introduced a few beta versions ago too, is the option to play audio messages in the background. Both WhatsApp two-step verification and background audio message playback are available in the latest WhatsApp beta (and a few versions prior) that you can grab from the Play Store by joining the official program or Download Latest WhatsApp V 2.17.425.
